MADISON, Wis. – The No. 24 Wisconsin women's soccer team is set to travel to Minnesota to take on the Golden Gophers in a border battle on Saturday, Oct. 4. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. (CT) with the match streaming on B1G+.

1.By the Numbers
Wisconsin is sitting at No. 24 in the United Soccer Coaches poll and is tied for fifth in the Big Ten with seven points.
The team's offense has been highly effective, averaging 1.58 goals per game while holding opponents to just 1.08. The Badgers also hold the advantage in shots, recording 168 attempts compared to only 81 by their opponents.
UW has recorded 19 goals this season, with midfielder
Erin Connolly leading the team at six. Connolly is tied for third in the Big Ten. She has registered 26 total shots, with 12 on target, for a .462 shots-on-goal percentage.
2. Scouting the Golden Gophers
Wisconsin last faced Minnesota at home in the 2024 season and blanked the Golden Gophers, 1-0. Since the 2014 season the Badgers have gone 12-0-1 against the Golden Gophers. Overall, Wisconsin holds a 23-13-1 record against them.
The Golden Gophers hold a 5-5-1 overall record and a 1-3-1 mark in Big Ten play. They most recently fell to Michigan 1-0 on the road.
Paige Kalal and Freya Jupp lead Minnesota's offense with four goals each. Starting goalie Sarah Martin has earned 52 saves with 15 goals allowed recording a save percentage of .776. She has played 990 minutes in net for Minnesota.
3. Players to Watch
Forward
Brooke Allen has come into her own in her sophomore season with the Badgers. She earned a starting spot and has tallied 607 minutes for Wisconsin. Allen has scored three goals this season with the first of her career coming against Central Michigan. She opened the scoring against Iowa in the fifth minute to help the Badgers secure the 2-1 upset. Against Michigan State she played a season high 64 minutes and earned one shot on goal.
Midfielder
Madison Ishaug is also a key player for the Badgers. She recorded one shot on goal against Iowa and provided the assist that allowed Allen to score. Ishaug scored a goal against Marquette just two minutes into the match helping Wisconsin to a 2-1 victory. She has played 985 minutes which is fifth most on the team.

The Badgers fell to Michigan State 6-0.
