CHICAGO – The Wisconsin women's cross country team placed 11th at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational for their third race of the season.
Five Badgers raced in the 6K Championship event as Leané Willemse led the way for UW with a time of 20 minutes, 16.9 seconds.
Annaleis Quinton was the second Badger across the line in 20:42.3 to finish in 47th while sophomore Nora Gremban made her season debut for the Cardinal and White, stopping the clock in 20:48.5.
Liv Phillips finished in 21:11:8 while Myra Stray crossed the line in 21:19.3, a personal best. Stray competed in this race last year for the Badgers with a time of 21:41.7.
Four Badgers competed in the 6K Open race as Sara Mlodik won the event with a time of 20:57.6.
Up next: The Badgers will host the 2025 Nuttycombe Invitational presented by Under Armour on Friday Oct. 17 at the Zimmer Championship Course. The race is set to start at 10:30 a.m. And more information can be found here.
