VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Wisconsin women's track and field standout
Taylor Kesner made program history on Friday as the senior won the weight throw at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
A native of Highland, Illinois, she launched a throw of 77 feet, 1 1/4 inches (23.50m) on her final attempt to become the first UW woman to win an NCAA indoor title in a field event. The mark was also a facility record at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, which is hosting the NCAA Divisoin I meet for the first time.
Kesner solidified her spot at No. 2 in school history and also collected first-team All-America honors in the process.
Fellow senior
Chloe Lindeman finished sixth with a throw of 74-7 ¼ (22.74m), earning first-team All-American status as well.
On the men's side,
Adam Spencer,
Andrew Casey,
Patrick Hilby, and
Jalen Williams combined for an eighth-place finish in the distance medley relay, clocking a time of 9:23.08, which secured first-team All-American honors.
In the men's weight throw, Kenosha, Wis. native,
Joseph White took 10th place with a mark of 72-4 ½ (22.06m), earning second-team All-American recognition.
