Badgers earn five first-place finishes at Mangrum Invite

Lindeque sets tone for UW in San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, Calif. - The Wisconsin women's track and field program won five separate events at the Mangrum Invite to continue the outdoor season, led by standout performances from Chloe Lindeman, Julia Moore, Shaina Zinter and Zonica Lindeque.

Lindeque completed Friday with a pair of victories, advancing to No. 7 all-time in the shot put in UW's outdoor track history. The sophomore recorded a heave of 52 feet, 3/4 inches (15.87m) to take first place in the shot put, a personal best. Beforehand, Lindeque led the way for the Badgers in the discus—snagging gold while Chikere Oduocha and Danni Langseth placed second and fourth, respectively.

Lindeman won the hammer throw, her first appearance in the event this year. Fresh off of a First-Team All-American honor during the indoor season, Lindeman earned gold with a toss of 206-11 (63.07m).

In the pole vault, Moore followed it up by winning the event with a leap of 12-2 ½ (3.72m), separating from the competition by its conclusion.

To wrap up the winners, Zinter exited California with a top mark in the javelin throw of 129-8 (39.52m).

Maddie Hogan paced the multis in numerous events throughout the day, emerging as the first Badger to complete the 100 meter hurdles, 200 meters and long jump.
