The Badgers will take on Miami (Ohio) on Thursday, Aug. 28

MADISON, Wis. – The 2025 Wisconsin Football season will begin earlier than anticipated this fall. The Badgers will open the season with a Thursday night prime-time matchup with the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks.

The Badgers hosted three night games in 2024, including the season opener on Friday, Aug. 30 versus Western Michigan. The Badgers have opened six of the last eight seasons with a night game dating back to 2017, and Wisconsin is 6-0 in those contests.

In conjunction with the Big Ten, the game's kickoff time and TV information will be shared at a later date.
