Four Badgers earn NABC Honors Court Selections

Team recognized for academic excellence

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's basketball team picked up the 2024-25 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, recognizing programs that finished the academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

John Tonje was named to the NABC Honors Court, alongside Steven Crowl, Markus Ilver and Kamari McGee. The Honors Court celebrates junior, senior and graduate student-athletes who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The Badgers rank fourth in the Big 10 with four honorees.

McGee is the lone Badger to earn the award in back-to-back years, joining Tyler Wahl and Isaac Lindsey as the Badgers' 2023-24 recipients.

For Crowl, it's his second academic award of the summer after being named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar last week for his perfect 4.0 GPA.
