MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's soccer team fell to the North Florida Ospreys, 1-0, in the 2025 season opener at McClimon Soccer Complex.
How It Happened:
The Ospreys found the back of the net first with a goal in the 36th minute of the game. It was redshirt senior Jaxon Reinhardt who tapped in a pass from his teammate Anton Khelil to take the 1-0 lead.
The Badgers brought pressure out of the break, but the combination of North Florida's backline and goalkeeper Luciano Natoli proved impenetrable.
Wisconsin keeper Matisse Hebert kept the Badgers in the game with an impeccable save in the 73rd minute. Wisconsin would continue to maintain pressure, totaling 13 corner kicks in the second half, but never found the net.
