MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's soccer team crushed the Central Michigan Chippewas, 4-0, in their fourth straight win of the season.
How it Happened
First Half
Brooke Allen opened the scoring with her first career goal in the 14
th minute off a pass from Maddie Ishaug.
Erin Connolly extended the lead in the 33
rd minute, assisted by
Ella Ottey.
Just before halftime,
Hailey Baumann set up
Ashley Martinez, who chipped it over the keeper in the 43rd minute to make it 3-0.
UW dominated the first half, outshooting CMU 12-3, with an 8-2 edge in shots on goal and 2-0 in corners.
Second Half
The Badgers kept their foot on the gas adding a fourth goal in the 53
rd minute when
Anya Gulbrandsen scored off an assist from
Ashley Martinez.
Drew Stover picked up her second straight shutout of the season and 11
th of her career.
Wisconsin held the advantage in shots (19-5), shots on goal (11-3) and corners (5-2)
The last time Wisconsin scored four or more goals was against Maryland in the 2024 season.
