1.LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin earned its first top-10 finish of the year at the season-opening Wolverine Invitational, coming in T9th/15. The Badgers shot +53 over the three-rounds, with senior Alexia Shiel leading the way. Siehl, who was just named to the 2025-26 Big Ten Golfers to Watch List, finished 29th at +11, using a final-round 72 to move up 12 spots in the table. That 72 is her lowest 18-hole round since last October.

2. WU'S WELCOMING: Senior Tammy Wu jumped out the gate last week during her first tournament in the cardinal and white. The Taiwan native finished tied for 33rd, just one stroke behind Siehl, at +12. Her opening-round 73 was the team's second-lowest of the weekend, propelling Wu to score in all three rounds for the Badgers. She comes into the Badger as UW's No. 2, looking to solidify that spot once more.

3. SEASON-DEBUT IN SIGHTS: True sophomore Izzi Stricker is set to make her season-debut Sunday. She featured in the UW lineup twice last season, earning a top-30 finish at the Mountain View Collegiate. The Waunakee native crushed the amateur competitions this summer, winning the Wisconsin Women's Amateur and the Wisconsin Match Play Championship.

4. EARLY EXPERIENCE: Wisconsin's three true freshmen will compete individually this week: Grace Slocum, Hadley Ashton and Elyssa Abdullah. Slocum started in her home-state at the Wolverine Invitational, scoring in all three rounds for the Badgers. She finished +19 overall, firing a final-round 75 for her low 18.

Ashton, a Colorado High School State Champion, is another Badger in great form from the summer, winning the Colorado PGA Junior Match Play Championship in July. She's racked up several accolades throughout her amateur and high school career, winning two AJGA Open Championships, earning 2023 Colorado Junior Player of the Year and pacing Erie High School (CO.) to three team state championships.

Abdullah, a three-time Illinois Girl's Golfer of The Year, boosted Hinsdale Central to four top-five finishes at the 2A IHSA State Championships, including a state title in 2022. She's finished in the IHSA top-10 all four years of high school, including a runner-up –2 performance in 2022 This summer, Abdullah was the runner-up at the 2025 Illinois PGA Women's Open this summer.

5. GRIND DOESN'T STOP: The Badgers get right back in action next Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Schooner Fall Classic, hosted by Oklahoma. They'll take on the Belmar Golf Club, playing three rounds across three days.
