Badgers chasing first Buckeyes victory since 2021
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin will stay on the road and face No. 11 Ohio State on Thursday, Jan. 29. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. (CT) and will air on BTN with Ed Cohen and Genesis Bryant on the call.
Here are five things to know before the Badgers face the Buckeyes:

THREE BALL THREAT:
Wisconsin has taken a major step forward from beyond the arc in the 2025–26 season. The Badgers are averaging 8.8 made threes per game, up from 6.0 last season, ranking first in the conference and 23rd nationally, while shooting a solid 34.4%. Wisconsin has increased its three-point attempts from 17.8 per game in 2024–25 (243rd nationally) to 25.5 in 2025–26 (39th), a jump of 7.7 attempts per contest that has transformed the team's offense.
Leading the team in three pointers is Destiny Howell. She has bucketed 46 triples on 110 attempts earning a 41.8 percent success rate. Against Oregon she made a record breaking 10 three pointers to propel Wisconsin to victory.

SCOUTING THE BUCKEYES:
Ohio State enters this match up with a 18-3 overall record and a 7-2 mark in conference play. Under head coach Kevin McGuff the Buckeyes are averaging 84.4 points per game and pulling down 38.3 rebounds per game.
Leading the offensive for Ohio State is Jaloni Cambridge. She is averaging 31.1 minutes of playing time and shooting 50.3% from the field. On that shooting she is averaging 21.9 points per game and is bringing in an average 5.6 rebounds per game which is third highest on the team.

SERIES HISTORY:
Wisconsin and Ohio State have tipped off over 70 times with the first meeting dating back to 1978. UW trails in the all-time series 18-56 and are looking to pick up their first win against OSU since 2021. -
LAST TIME OUT:
Wisconsin dropped to Minnesota 88-53. Destiny Howell led the Badgers with 16 points, shooting 6-for-14 from the field and knocking down 4-of-6 from three-point range. Kyrah Daniels added 13 points, converting six free throws and grabbing four rebounds, while Ronnie Porter chipped in nine points with a career-high three triples. Gift Uchenna provided a solid presence inside with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and a block.
Wisconsin ended shooting 34.6 percent from the field (18-52), 37.5 percent from deep (9-24), and 88.9 percent from the free throw line (8-9).
