COLLEGE PARK - The No. 22 Wisconsin women's tennis team dropped the No. 47 Maryland Terrapins, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon.Â
The doubles point came down to the wire, with both No. 2 and No. 3 going to tiebreaks. Maria Sholokhova and Kaede Usui secured the advantage for the Badgers at No. 2 to clinch the doubles point.
Singles was just as tight, with Wisconsin earning wins at the No. 1 and No. 6 spots, while Kája Jacobson battled to three sets at No. 5 to determine the match. The match ultimately came down to the final points, but Maryland secured the point and the match.
