March 25, 2026 | Men's Tennis
No. 35 Wisconsin faces No. 46 Oregon and Washington this weekend
1 – WEST COAST RECAP – The Badgers return home after a tough road trip to Los Angeles, losing 6-1 to both UCLA and USC. On Friday, Wisconsin secured a hard-fought doubles point, but was unable to beat the heat in singles action against UCLA. In Sunday's afternoon match, USC quickly jumped out to a 1-0 lead and never looked back. Patrik Meszaros secured Wisconsin's lone point with a win at No. 1 singles.Â
2 – PAT'S MAKING NOISE – Sophomore Patrik Meszaros has continued to build off of his freshman year success, earning his tenth win of the spring last Sunday. After going 8-3 at No. 2 singles, Meszaros earned the move up to No. 1 singles where he bested USC's Branko Djuric in straight sets.
Meszaros is also 8-4 in doubles action with his partner, Matthew Fullerton. The duo has played all of their matches at No. 3 doubles and are 3-2 in conference play.Â
3 – KNOW YOUR OPPONENTS – In just six matches played against the Ducks, the Badgers trail 2-4 in the all-time series. When the two teams met last season, Oregon earned a 4-2 victory. The Ducks are 13-3 overall and 4-1 in Big Ten play this season. Senior Vlad Breazu is currently ranked No. 115 in singles play.
The Badgers trail the all-time series against the Huskies, 3-6. Last season Washington took the 4-1 win over Wisconsin, but this season the Huskies are currently 7-10 and just 1-4 in conference play.
