Badgers split weekend in the Pacific Northwest
SEATTLE, Wash. - Wisconsin women's tennis fell to No. 21 Washington on Sunday in Seattle.
In doubles, the Russian duo of Maria Sholokhova and Ekaterina Ivanova continued their strong play, earning a dominant bagel victory to remain undefeated as a pair. Tianna Rangan and Kaede Usui battled back from a 2-4 deficit to even the set at 6-6, but were unable to capitalize in the tiebreak, as Washington claimed the doubles point.
Maria Sholokhova delivered a standout performance at No. 1 singles, earning a ranked win in a quick 6-0, 6-1 straight-set victory. The momentum shifted toward the Huskies across the remaining courts, as Washington secured three singles points to clinch the match.
