Reason for choosing UW-Madison: I chose UW-Madison because of the variety of options everyday between the beautiful nature, amazing and historic downtown, some of the best social environment I have ever experienced that still provides an academically rigorous environment. I also always knew that I wanted to study engineering and UW-Madison has one of the best programs offered in the country. I also knew I wanted to join the rowing program and from my time talking to the coaches I knew that the team would offer a significant challenge but one that would help me grow exponentially into a better coxswain than I could imagine.
What Wisconsin Rowing means to Charles: To me, Wisconsin Rowing is a family. The process to join and participate on the team is so rigorous that for guys to return they have to be committed. As a result, all of us together are committed to fight everyday and practice and through everyday together. We are all brothers and we support one another.
