Personal: Sanders is a freshman rower from Minnetonka, Minnesota majoring in Neurobiology...Parents are Nicole and Russ Sanders...Has three siblings, Andrew, Ethan and Kaden...Competed in swimming at Minnetonka High School while competing in club rowing during her upperclassmen years.

"During the past four consecutive years I have been on the varsity team for high school swimming. During that time I have made the sectional team and we won our section three years in a row. At the sections meet I swam the 500 free and I placed 6th. Not only was I able to have success with my team at sections I also won true team state during my freshman and sophomore year in high school and second at true team state in my junior year of high school swimming. Some of my other best events include the 1000 freestyle. I also swim some shorter races such as the 100 fly and the 100 freestyle."

"I chose Wisconsin because of the feeling I got the moment I stepped on campus. Nothing could even compare to the atmosphere, athletics, and academics here at Wisconsin. Madison is a home away from home that it felt like it was meant to be."
