Rebecca Neuger

Rebecca Neuger is in her first year as the Badgers program assistant. She will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the basketball office as well as assisting with recruiting, travel and camps.

Neuger comes to Wisconsin after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor for the last two seasons. The Cru went 18-9 in 2016-17, advancing to their fifth straight American Southwest Conference tournament. Mary Hardin-Baylor was the No. 2 West seed in the tournament. The Cru were also the No. 2 West seed in 2015-16 when they went 15-11.

During her tenure, Mary Hardin-Baylor landed 12 players on the ASC All-West Division team, including three first-team selections.

Prior to her time at Mary Hardin-Baylor, Neuger spent one season at Baylor University where she was a graduate manager for the Bears men's basketball team. She was part of a team that finished 24-10 overall and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Neuger completed work on her master's degree in sports pedagogy at Baylor in 2015.

She also spent two years as an assistant girls’ basketball coach and track and field coach at Holy Family High School in Victoria, Minnesota, prior to her time in Waco.

Neuger is a 2011 graduate of St. Olaf College, an NCAA Division III school in Northfield, Minnesota, with a degree in exercise science. She was an Academic All-American in track and field for the Oles and earned a total of 14 athletic letters. Neuger was a four-year letter winner in basketball, soccer and track, and also earned two letters in indoor track at St. Olaf. She is a native of Northfield, Minnesota.
