
UW Takes Eighth at Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational

The Wisconsin women's golf team took eighth at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational which completed competition Sunday at the Quail Run Golf Course with its total score of 917 (308-305-304). Notre Dame won the invitational with its score of 875 (294-290-291). So-Hyun Park of Notre Dame won the individual title as she finished four under par in the three-day tournament (72-70-70).
Sophomore Kelsey Verbeten led UW as she finished tied for 14th with her 54-hole score of 226 (78-72-76). Junior Jeana Dahl was the next Wisconsin finisher with her three-round score of 228 (79-76-73).
Senior Katie Elliott came in next for UW with her score of 232 (75-79-78) and ended tied for 33rd. Freshman Carly Werwie finished tied for 47th with her total score of 235 (80-78-77) and junior Isabel Alvarez tied for 58th with her score of 237 (76-80-81).
Sophomore Beth Weinstein rounded out the Wisconsin competitors as she finished tied for 77th (80-80-83).
The Badgers return to action at the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas March 17-19.
