
Siehl's career-week lifts UW at MountainView Collegiate

Senior finishes fourth, overall
TUCSON. Ariz. -- Wisconsin women's golf senior Alexia Siehl finished fourth at the MountainView Collegiate, earning her career-best finish on Sunday at the Preserve at Saddlebrook in Tucson, Arizona. UW finished 11th at +12 as a team.Â
The South Carolina native went seven-under, overall, propelled by a collegiate-low 66 (-6) on Saturday's second round. Siehl's 14 birdies were the third-most in the field on the week, while her Par 3 average was the second-highest in the field.Â
Izzi Stricker finished 31st at three-over on the strength of a second-round 71 (-1) that lifted her 22 spots on the leaderboard. The sophomore cleaned up well on Sunday, going two-under on the back-nine to earn her second-straight top-35 finish.
Kate Brody rose the ranks all three days, finishing 50th at +7. She had a 73 (+1) on Sunday, highlighted by an even-par final 11 holes.Â
True freshman Grace Slocum rounded out the UW scoring on Sunday with a +5 round. She finished 77th at +15, overall. Tammy Wu was in 76th at +14, and scored for UW in the first round with a 71 (-1).Â
Competing individually, true freshman Elyssa Abdullah is in 65th at +11 after shooting even-par on Saturday.Â
Up Next: The Badgers will take a week off before heading to Maryland for the Terrapin Invitational. It'll be their penultimate event of the regular season, before heading to Purdue on April 12, and the Big Ten Championships on April 24.Â
