MADISON, Wis. -- The 19th-annual InnTowner Invitational wrapped up play on Saturday evening as Wisconsin took on Loyola in the championship match. The Badgers dominated the final match winning in three sets 25-9, 25-12, 25-20 to take the tournament title.

 Fast Facts
• Badgers open the season 6-0
• 4 Badgers recorded 4 blocks
• Wack led with 13 kills and named tournament MVP

The Badgers (6-0) controlled the stat lines in the final match, outhitting the Ramblers 45-28 in kills with a .380 hitting percentage in comparison to the Ramblers hitting .103.
Wisconsin ended the match with six service aces and 10.5 total blocks.

Allsion Wack led all teams on offense with 13 kills and three service aces. Six other Badgers contributed kills, including freshmen Dominique Thompson and Elise Walch who scored nine and eight kills, respectively. Wack's impressive play earned her the tournament MVP title following the win.
Janelle Gabrielsen recorded a match-high 35 assists as Loyola's Natalie Fiore made 28 of her own. Gabrielsen also made 12 digs in the match to tie teammate Kim Kuzma with the match-high.

Wisconsin outblocked Loyola 10.5-2 behind five stuffs from Thompson.  Four different Badgers added to the stat line as Mitchell, Gabrielsen and Walch posted four blocks on the night.

Wisconsin got off to an early lead in the first set and never looked back. Loyola's offense did not stand a chance against an impressive .481 hitting percentage with 14 kills as the Ramblers trailed with a .033 hitting percentage and eight kills.

The Badger offense was led by Wack, who had four kills in the win, and Gabrielsen, who recorded 12 assists and three blocks in the opening set.

The second set got off to a closer start, but Wisconsin was able to pull away to earn the win. Wack once again led the Badger's offense with four more kills. Despite the slow start in the second set, the Badgers finished things off with a service ace by Wack to end the set.

The Ramblers showed they would not make the win easy for the Badgers, though, as they kept the score tight throughout the third set. Big hits from Walch and Wack put Wisconsin up as the match neared an end and Gabrielsen recorded a dump kill to give UW the win.

The win brings Wisconsin's record to 6-0, head coach Pete Waite's best ever start at Wisconsin. This marks the 15th time the Badgers have won the InnTowner Invitational, the last time being in 2008 when the team earned wins over Central Michigan, IUPUI and BYU to grab the title.

The Badgers will be back in action next weekend competing in the Milwaukee Invitational. The team is set to take on Milwaukee on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Central Michigan and Toledo on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively.
