MADISON, Wis. -- Ninety minutes of regulation and two 10 minute overtime periods weren't enough for the Wisconsin men's soccer team to defeat Loyola, as the Badgers and Ramblers played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night at the McClimon Complex.
For the fourth time this season, the Badgers played into overtime under the lights of the McClimon Complex, but failed to come out with a victory.

The Badgers recorded four shots in overtime play, but were unable to capitalize. In the 105th minute, the Badgers nearly ended the game after finding the back of the net thanks to an effort by Tom Barlow, but offsides was called and the goal was disallowed. In the 95th minute, Mark Segbers almost tallied the game-winner, but his shot hit the post.
"Unfortunately, in the one in overtime, Tommy's just a shade off sides when Adam knocks it back across the goal mouth," head coach John Trask said of the offsides call. "It would've been great to see Tommy get the game winner there."
In regulation, Loyola got things going quickly, getting on board in less than a minute after Ben Crognale sent it to the back of the cage off a sharp feed.
"Hopefully the lesson's been learned," Trask said of the goal scored just 48 seconds into the match. "We haven't given up a goal early yet, that's one of the few that haven't been learned by the team yet, so there you have it."
The Badgers fought back after the initial setback and tied it up in the 17th minute thanks to Barlow, who tipped the ball in after a flurry of activity near the cage. Fellow freshmen Segbers and Mike Catalano were credited with the assists.
Loyola outshot Wisconsin, 12-11. Segbers tallied six shots, the most of a Wisconsin player in a single game this year.
Barlow and Segbers are now tied for the team lead in goals, with four goals each. The freshmen and St. Louis, Missouri, natives have accounted for eight of Wisconsin's 14 goals this season. Segbers also leads the team in points (12) and assists (4).
The Badgers are back at home on Saturday at the McClimon Complex as they face Ohio State at 7 p.m.
