Freshman tied for 29th to lead Badgers’ scoring
RESULTS
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Through two rounds at the 54-hole Boilermaker Invitational, the Wisconsin men's golf team is in 15th after shooting a 28-over 604 on Saturday at the par-72, 7,400-yard Kampen Course.

The Badgers (+28, 306-298=604) went 18-over in Round 1 but improved by eight strokes in the second round with a 10-over 298.
Â
Illinois (+19, 280-277=557) leads the tournament at 19-under, followed by host Purdue (-6, 284-286=570) in second and third-place Louisville.
Â
Michigan State (+4, 294-286=580) and Northwestern (+4, 292-288=580) round out the top five on the team leaderboard at 4-over.

The Fighting Illini's Charlie Danielson (-9, 70-65=135) is atop the player standings, as he recorded a 9-under 135 on Day 1.

Jordan Hahn (+3, 74-73=147) was Wisconsin's best golfer, registering a 74 and 73 which places him in a tie for 29th.

In a knot for 51st, Eddie Wajda III (+7, 76-75=151) notched a 36-hole total of 151 to finish the day at 7-over.

Ben Skogen (+8, 77-75=152) was third among Badgers competitors at 8-over. He put up a 5-over 77 in the first round before netting a 3-over 65 in Round 2. Skogen is in a tie for 58th after the first day of competition.

Matt Ross (+12, 79-77=156) and individual participant Johnny Decker (+12, 77-79=156) tied for 73rd. The pair recorded identical 36-hole outputs to end the day at 12-over.

Michael Abrahamson (+18, 87-75= 162) wrapped up the scoring by netting an 18-over 162. He enters the final round tied for 81st.

Notably, all but one Wisconsin golfer improved from Round 1 to Round 2, with Abrahamson picking up a team-best 12-stroke upgrade.

The Boilermaker Invitational finishes with 18 holes on Sunday. Round 3 will have a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. (CT).
