Coach Yvette Healy
On if there is a better hitting/pitching combination:"I think that's as good as it gets. It started with
Taylor-Paige Stewart on the mound, she did great in both games and I think she really gave the offense a lot of time to work. When she was throwing so well and holding them down it kind of made everybody really comfortable."
On whether the hitters doing well makes it easier for the pitchers:"Absolutely. I think it works both ways. When the pitchers are throwing well, it makes it easier for the hitters to just relax and swing. When the hitters are swinging, I think the pitchers know they've got some room to work with."
On what convincing wins do for the team late in the season:"Just to play well on our field is a big deal, so I think we wanted to do that leading into this weekend, it's another huge weekend. Everybody was excited to get back to work today. It's always nice to play mid-week, when you're trying to get your groove going again. It was great to have mid-week games and I think it gives us a little momentum going into the weekend."
Senior P Taylor-Paige Stewart
On whether her game plan changes with a big lead:"I don't think our plan changes, but definitely the atmosphere of our dugout changes and the stress on the mound definitely decreases when your offense is lighting it up."
On getting convincing wins at home:"We've been talking about the pride of playing at Goodman and especially these games against Green Bay. We had this big sit-down talk and we all were like, "We want to out-Wisconsin an in-state rival. We want to be the Wisconsin."
On what convincing wins do for the team late in the season:"Any win is a good win. At the end of the day people see how many wins you get in a season, they're not necessarily looking at who you're beating. For us, again, any win is a good win, especially against Green Bay. In my four years, they've come and always taken one from us. We were like, 'not this year."
On tying her season-high strikeout record:"I didn't know that. I think this late in the season, Coach Healy and I and Coach Verdun, we're clicking on a lot of cylinders. What pitch calls, what to throw, what situations to throw what in. I think that we're really on the same page with each other, so it actually makes it a lot easier."

On the feeling for the offense when the pitchers are throwing like they were:"When they go in there and they get the one-two-three, we all really get excited. That's one of their goals so when they get their goal, then it helps us get our goals. We just work back and forth and feed off of each other."
On getting convincing wins this late in the season:"Especially late, getting some good wins -- Illinois was a top-50 team, Green Bay always comes and puts up a fight, we haven't swept them in years-- it's good heading into our final six games."
What the wins do for the team's confidence:"It definitely pads it a little bit. Our hitting has been struggling for the past couple weeks, so coming in here and getting our hits, getting our 20 hits on the day, definitely takes us into Northwestern and Nebraska, who are big hitting teams. It gives us a little confidence that we can compete with them."
On getting a home run at home:"It always feels good. It happens in practice and whatnot, but until you get it in the game, there's nothing else like seeing your team when you cross home plate."
