TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Senior
Kelsey Grambeau is flying high Sunday afternoon following her third place finish in her respective flight in Tallahassee, Florida.Â
Grambeau was knocked out in her semifinals match, but went on to defeat Kristen White of WVU, 6-1, 6-1 on Sunday morning.
Christina Zordani won her consolation championship match Saturday by injury default.Â
Wisconsin ended the tournament posting a 5-9 singles mark and 4-2 in doubles. There were no doubles matches played Sunday for Wisconsin.
Michelle Linden won her 7th-place match against Anne Sophie Corteau from WVU, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.
Melissa Pick was defeated in her backdraw championship match, 0-6, 6-2, 6-2.
MaryAnn Rompf was also beaten Sunday, 6-7, 6-2, 6-2.
Up next: The FSU All Conference-Showdown was Wisconsin's last fall tournament. The Badgers will resume action on Jan. 19 in Long Beach, California.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – After getting beaten in her first match of the tournament, sophomore
Melissa Pick bounced back and got herself a spot in the consolation championship of her respective bracket.

Pick defeated Nicole Dzenga of South Florida, 7-6 (4), 6-0 to move on.

Christina Zordani also advanced to the consolation championship, her advancement coming on an injury default to Matea Mihaljevic of Troy.

Michelle Linden and MaryAnn Rompf will both play for 7th place at 8 a.m. CT Sunday morning. Both women dropping the backdraw semifinals match.

Grambeau was defeated in the main draw semifinals match, 6-2, 6-3 to Paula Goetz of West Virginia.

Wisconsin doubles went 2-0 during Saturday's play. Rompf and Pick won the backdraw doubles championship. Grambeau and Zordani will play their backdraw finals match Sunday morning.

The senior picked up Wisconsin's sole singles victory
TALLAHASEE, Fla. – Competing in the FSU All-Conference Showdown – the team's last tournament of the fall season – the Wisconsin women's tennis team ended 2-2 in doubles and 1-3 in singles on day one.

Kelsey Grambeau received a bye in her bracket and went on to win her first match versus Maria Casas Blas (TROY), 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 to advance to the semifinals.

Freshman
MaryAnn Rompf was beaten, 6-4, 7-5 by Monica Matias of UCF. Sophomore
Melissa Pick was also taken down in two sets, 6-2, 6-2 by Lidia Burrows of MTSU. Sophomore
Michelle Linden lost, 6-1, 6-1 to Andrea Garcia from host-school Florida State.

In doubles, both pairs, Zordani/Grambeau and Rompf/Pick, lost their first match. The duos fell into the consolation side of the bracket and won their first backdraw match, moving onto the doubles consolation semifinals.
