MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin softball senior
Kelsey Jenkins was selected as a member of Canada's 2017 Pan Am Championship/Worlds Qualifier Women's National Team.
Jenkins, a three-time All-Big Ten honoree, will compete with Canada at the 2017 Pan Am Championships, Canada Cup and World Cup. The two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree started all 52 games for the Badgers at second base last season and served as the leadoff hitter in nearly every game.
She was named to the NCAA Tournament All-Region team and finished her junior campaign with 47 runs off of 52 hits, including six doubles and six home runs.
The Canadian women's national team will play an exhibition series against the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch League (NPF) in Chicago on June 30 and July 1 followed by the US World Cup of Softball from July 5-9 in Oklahoma City. UW assistant coach

Both the Women's National Team and the Elite team will then compete at the Canada Cup from July 11-17 in Surrey, British Columbia. Canada will later take on the Akron Racers of the NPF on July 31 and August 1 in Akron, Ohio before competing in the World Baseball Softball Confederation Pan American Women's Softball Championship, which is scheduled to take place August 4-13 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Team Canada will conclude the summer with a trip overseas to compete in the Japan Cup, August 15-28.
