MADISON, Wis. – After a successful weekend at home, the seventh-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team is back on the road this weekend for two matches in Michigan. The Badgers begin their weekend with a 7 p.m. (CT) match on Friday at No. 12 Michigan before Saturday's 6 p.m. match at Michigan State.

1. IS THERE NOTHING SHE CANNOT DO: Sophomore Dana Rettke was named the AVCA National Player of the Week and Big Ten Player of the Week after leading the Badgers to two wins last weekend. The 6-foot-8 middle blocker averaged 3.62 kills per set while hitting .531. She also added 1.62 blocks per set while chipping in 0.62 digs per set.

2. BEATING THE BEST: The Badgers are one of only seven teams in the nation to defeat five or more ranked teams this season. UW is 5-3 against the top 25 this year, including 2-0 against the top five, following Friday's win over No. 5 Nebraska.

3. DEFENSIVE LOCKDOWN: UW played some of its best defense of the year against No. 5 Nebraska on Friday, recording a school-record 94 digs while adding 13.5 blocks. Junior Tiffany Clark tied her career best with 26 saves while sophomore Dana Rettke tied her career high with 10 blocks against the Huskers.

4. DOUBLE TROUBLE: UW recorded four double-doubles on the weekend to bring its season total to 17. Sydney Hilley (45 assists/19 digs), Molly Haggerty (10 kills/13 digs) and Dana Rettke (12 kills, 10 blocks) all had double-doubles against Nebraska. Grace Loberg (11 kills/11 digs) had a double-double vs. Iowa.

5. SCOUTING MICHIGAN: The Wolverines are 18-3 overall and 7-3 in conference play this season. Earlier this month they swept No. 14 Purdue for their highest-ranked win of the season. Senior outside hitter Carly Skjodt paces the Michigan offense with 4.14 kills per set while freshman Paige Jones adds another 3.20 kills per set. Michigan also ranks second in the Big Ten with 16.12 digs per set, led by libero Jenna Lerg with 5.16 digs per set.

SCOUTING MICHIGAN STATE: MSU is 15-8 overall and 3-7 through the halfway point of the Big Ten season. Maddie Haggerty, sister of Wisconsin's Molly Haggerty, is averaging 2.58 kills per set for her team this season. The Badgers look to shut down Michigan State's front row on Saturday as the Spartans rank second in the conference with 2.78 blocks per set but UW ranks first in the B1G for fewest blocks by its opponents with 1.62 blocks allowed per set.
