Brad Davison scored a game-high 26 points and
Ethan Happ added 20 points of his own, but No. 15 Wisconsin came up short in an 83-76 loss on the road against Western Kentucky at E.A. Diddle Arena on Saturday night.
The Badgers (10-3, 2-0 Big Ten) shot 45.6 (31-68 FG) percent from the floor, but were just 6-for-21 from 3-point range. The Hilltoppers (7-6) shot 55.2% FG and 40% 3FG.
Davison led all scorers with 26 points (9-13 FG, 3-6 3FG), while adding 4 steals, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Happ finished with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
For Western Kentucky, four players scored 15 or more points led by Taveion Hollingsworth with 22 points.
Wisconsin returns home to resume Big Ten Conference play with a game against Minnesota on Jan. 3.
