Game Coverage

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin will travel down I-94 for its annual meeting with Marquette on Saturday at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The road team has won six of the last eight games in this series.

Up next, the Badgers will host Savannah State on Dec. 13 before taking a nine-day recess for final exams on campus.

1. RESUME BUILDING: The Badgers are currently No. 6 in the NCAA's NET rankings and already have six wins over major conference teams, tops the nation.

2. HAPP STANDS ALONE: Averaging 17.7 points, 10.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game, Happ is the nation's only player averaging at least 17.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg and 5.0 apg. Over the last 20 years, no player in the nation has reached those marks for a full season

3. TRICE IS NICE: After missing the final 23 games last season with a foot injury, D'Mitrik Trice is off to a sizzling start, leading the nation with a 60.0% 3FG pct. (30-for-50) and ranking third with 3.3 3FGs per game. The sophomore guard entered the season with a career high of 16 points, but has already topped that in five of the first nine games this season.

4. STRONG OUT THE GATES: Wisconsin has opened the season 8-1, its best start since beginning the 2014-15 season with a mark of 15-1.

5. LOCKED IN FROM LONG RANGE: Wisconsin leads the Big Ten and ranks 16th nationally shooting 41.6% from 3-point range. That figure is up from 33.5% 3FGs a year ago. Defensively, UW is allowing opponents to shoot just 28.7% from long range and hit a mere 5.8 3FGs per game.
