Road closures could impact travel to and from Camp Randall

MADISON, Wis. – Due to the recent flooding in the Madison area, as well as ongoing construction projects, traditional traffic patterns for fans attending Badger football games at Camp Randall Stadium may be changed. Below is some information to help fans plan their trips to Madison.

A number of Madison-area roadways have been affected by the heavy rains and flooding in the area. For the latest on road closures due to flooding, please refer to the City of Madison website: http://www.cityofmadison.com/live-work/extreme-weather/flooding.

In addition, an ongoing construction project on Monroe Street has resulted in the closure of westbound (outbound) traffic lanes from Regent Street to Odana Road. One eastbound (inbound) traffic lane will remain open at all times from Odana Road to Regent Street. The project is scheduled to continue through the end of the football season. For more information on the Monroe Street project, please refer to the City of Madison website: https://www.cityofmadison.com/engineering/projects/monroe-street

Another construction project taking place on campus has affected West Johnson Street and North Charter Street. The four lanes of West Johnson at Charter will be reduced to two until Friday, Sept. 21. In addition, Charter Street between University Avenue and West Johnson is closed to northbound traffic through late November. For more information on the Monroe Street project, please refer to the City of Madison website: http://www.cityofmadison.com/engineering/projects/johnson-st-w.
