CINCINNATI, Ohio- The Badger men's golf team wrapped up the final round of the Bearcat Invitational on Tuesday after playing 54 holes.
Leading the Badgers wass freshman
Sebastian Iqbal. He finished the third round with a two-over-par round of 73 to total four-over-par 217 for the tournament. He set both 36-hole and 54- hole career low scores, as well as a career best finish at tied for 29th place.
Following Iqbal was junior
Sam Anderson, who shot a four-over-par 75 to total six-over-par 219, and freshman
Coalter Smith, who shot a two-over-par 73 to total seven-over-par 220. Smith also shot both 36-hole and 54- hole career low scores and a career best finish tied for 39th place.
Round three was led by redshirt junior
Nick Robinson, who shot a plus-one round of 72 to finish at eight-over-par 221, setting season lows for both 36-holes and 54-holes. He finished in a tie for 46th place, a 10-place improvement from yesterday. Also finishing at eight-over and tied for 46th was junior
Griffin Barela. For round three, he carded a five-over-par 76 and recorded a season low 36-hole score.
Overall, the team finished in a tie for ninth place with a 20-over-par 872 after shooting nine-over 293 for the final round.
Next up, the Badgers will be competing in the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills on Oct. 6-8.
