MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men's basketball team hosts in-state rival Marquette at noon (CT) Sunday at the Kohl Center.

Fans attending Sunday's game are encouraged to wear white for this season's "White Out" game. The first 2,000 UW-Madison students in attendance will receive free Cousin's Subs, on the concourse at section 115. All students in AreaRED will also receive free sunglasses and pom poms.

1) WE'VE GOT HISTORY: The in-state rivalry between Wisconsin and Marquette has been rekindled annually since 1917, as the Badgers hold a 67-58 all-time lead in the series. The two programs have split the last 10 contests, including the Golden Eagles claiming a 74-69 overtime win last season. This year's matchup is the earliest the pair has met since Wisconsin hosted Marquette on Nov. 14,1997 in the season opener. 2) LAST TIME OUT:  Despite a slow start, the Badgers rallied past the McNeese State Cowboys to win, 83-63, on Wednesday night at the Kohl Center. Brad Davison scored a game-high 24 points, Aleem Ford tallied a career-high 16 points, and Walt McGrory added a career-high nine points in the victory. Brevin Pritzl also contributed 13 points in his first start of the season for the Badgers (2-1). 3) RELIABLE REUVERS: Junior forward Nate Reuvers has gotten his 2019-20 season off to a strong start, reaching double-digit scoring in all three contests to open the year. The Lakeville, Minnesota native earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors earlier this week following a dominant 14-point, 14-rebound, nine-block performance against Eastern Illinois. Following UW's victory over McNeese on Wednesday night, Reuvers moved into eighth on UW's all-time blocks list (100).

4) WINNING WAYS: UW has recorded at least 30 wins in four of the last 13 seasons, the most of any team in the Big Ten. Michigan [3], Michigan State [3], Ohio State [3] and Purdue [1] are the only other Big Ten schools to win 30 games in a season over that span.

5) PROTECT OUR HOUSE: Over the last 15 seasons, 196 of the Badgers' 263 home wins have come by at least 10 points. Wisconsin's strength at home is fueled by its electric Kohl Center student section, AreaRED. This season, Wisconsin sold out its 2,100-person "AreaRED" student section for the seventh straight season. AreaRED is the 3rd-largest student section in the Big Ten

LAST TIME OUT
Wisconsin 83, McNeese State 63
  • Wisconsin overcame a slow start to roll past the McNeese State Cowboys, 83-63, Wednesday night at the Kohl Center.
    • Brad Davison – Led the way with 24 points, four steals and three rebounds.
    • Aleem Ford – Scored a career-high 16 points (7-11 FG)
    • Walt McGrory – Scored a career-high nine points.
  • The Badgers shot 10-of-28 from 3-point range in the victory, including seven 3-pointers in the second half. Five different players contributed from beyond the arc.
  • UW out-rebounded the Cowboys, 28-24.
  • The Badgers finished 15-for-18 (.833) from the free throw line.
4 MOORE
  • On the night of May 25, the Wisconsin basketball family was forever changed. Assistant coach Howard Moore and his family were involved in a horrific auto accident that claimed the lives of Moore's wife, Jen, and 9-year old daughter, Jaidyn.
  • His 13-year old son, Jerell, survived with minor injuries, while Moore sustained severe burns and later endured a heart attack that has left him facing a long and challenging recovery.
  • Throughout the season, our team will be honoring the Moore family through a simple motto: Do Moore. Be Moore. 4 Moore.
  • The number 4 represents  the four members of the family. The six words represent far more than a saying, but instead a symbol of strength and an inspiration on how to live our lives.
  • Our game uniforms will feature a "4MOORE" patch, (includes the names of Jen and Jaidyn). Also featured on shooting shirts and wristbands.
  • An assistance fund has been established with the name "The Howard Moore Family Fund." Text the word "MOORE," to 69050 to donate.
