MADISON, Wis. – The fourth-ranked Wisconsin wrestling team heads south of the state border to Hoffman Estates, Illinois, to compete in the Midlands Championships hosted by Northwestern University. The event runs on Sunday-Monday at Sears Centre Arena.
This is the Badgers' biggest tournament of the season other than Big Ten Championships and NCAA Championships in March. You can stream the event live on

1. REVENGE TOUR: After their loss to Iowa, the Wisconsin wrestlers will look for a second chance against them at Midlands. Iowa, the No. 1-ranked team in the country, will appear at Midlands and with some help from the bracket makers, Badger wrestlers will look for revenge.

WICK: No. 3
Evan Wick's incredible junior season continued at the Senior National tournament in Fort Worth. Competing for a spot at the U.S.A's Olympic trials, Wick wrestled at the 74-kilogram weight class. He took fourth place on the day, securing his spot at the team trials in April.
3. IN A FLASH: The Badgers beat up on the Kent State Golden Flashes during their first home dual of the season on Dec. 19, winning 42-6.

4. TOUGH COMPETITION AHEAD: Heading into the tournament ranked fourth in the country, the Badgers will face a lot of ranked teams. No. 1 Iowa, No. 10 Princeton, No. 12 Purdue, No. 17 North Carolina, No. 23 Virginia and No. 25 Central Michigan will also be competing.
5. LOOKING BACK AT MIDLANDS 2018: In their 2018 tournament appearance, the Badgers finished in fourth place, their highest finish since 2010.
Evan Wick competed in the finals at the meet, but ultimately fell to Iowa's Alex Marinelli to earn second place.
Tristan Moran took seventh place and
Trent Hillger took eighth place.
