MADISON, Wis. — No. 24 Wisconsin puts its four-game win streak on the line against No. 21 Maryland on Friday night,
as fans are encouraged to wear white to the game to help "White Out" the Kohl Center. UW is 2-2 against the Top-25 this season.
Â
Up next, the Badgers travel for a game at Minnesota on Feb. 6. Wisconsin has won in each of its last three trips to Williams Arena.
1. RESUME BUILDING: The Badgers checked in at No. 12 in the Jan. 30 NET rankings and No. 10 according to KenPom.com. Wisconsin is 10-5 against the KenPom Top 100 with five Quadrant 1 wins. UW has played the seventh-longest schedule in the NCAA (per KenPom.com).
2. LOOKING TO EVEN THE SCORE: Wisconsin and Maryland are meeting for the eighth time since the Terrapins joined the Big Ten, as UM holds a 4-3 lead in the series since joining the league. The Terps topped the Badgers earlier this season, 64-60, at the XFINITY Center.
3. GETTING DEFENSIVE:Â During its current four-game winning streak, Wisconsin has held each of its last four opponents to a season-low scoring total. Overall, the Badgers rank fifth in defensive efficiency (KenPom.com) and 11th in the NCAA allowing 61.5 ppg.
4. TRIPLE THREAT:Â Senior
Ethan Happ is the only player in the NCAA with two triple-doubles this season. He is one of just five major conference players in the last 10 years to post multiple triple-doubles in a season.
5. TOP-FIVE TAKEDOWNS:Â With last weekend's win over No. 2 Michigan,
Greg Gard has now led the Badgers to four top-five wins (and seven top-10 wins) in his four seasons at the helm. That's the most in the Big Ten during that timespan.
