MADISON, Wis. — Winners of six straight, No. 19 Wisconsin heads to No. 7 Michigan for a game on Saturday. The Badgers are looking to sweep the season series from the Wolverines. UW is 3-2 against top-25 teams this season.
Up next, the Badgers host No. 9 Michigan State on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
1. BADGERING THE WOLVERINES:Â While Michigan leads the all-time series, 91-75, Wisconsin has gone 19-6 over the last 25 meetings. The Badgers knocked off the then-ranked No. 2 Wolverines in this season's first meeting, 64-54, ending Michigan's unbeaten start (17-0) to the season.
2. MAKING IT HAPPEN VS. MICHIGAN:Â
Ethan Happ has scored in double figures in each of his six career games against Michigan, averaging 19.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game against the Wolverines. That includes a 22-point performance in Ann Arbor in 2017, a 29-point outing against UM last season and a 26-point, 10-rebound, 7-assist masterpiece earlier this season.
3. TAKE CARE:Â The Badgers rank second in the NCAA with just 9.3 turnovers per game. UW has had single-digit turnovers in eight of 12 Big Ten games.
4. GETTING DEFENSIVE:Â During its current six-game winning streak, the Badgers have held five of the six opponents to a season-low scoring total. Overall, the Badgers rank sixth in defensive efficiency (KenPom.com) and eighth in the NCAA allowing 61.0 ppg.
5. CHASING HISTORY:Â Senior
Ethan Happ is trying to become the first player in Big Ten history to average 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. In fact, over the last 25 years, no NCAA player has reached those marks for an entire season.
