MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin softball team will host No. 19 Minnesota on Wednesday afternoon in a border battle doubleheader at Goodman Diamond before traveling to West Lafayette for a weekend series at Purdue. UW's doubleheader against Minnesota will begin at 1 p.m. (CT), while games at Purdue are scheduled for 5 p.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
1. WALK-OFF WINNER: The Badgers won a thrilling 13-inning game on Saturday in front of a crowd 1,497 people strong en route to a weekend sweep of the Hoosiers. Sophomore Lauren Foster smacked a single through the left side with the bases loaded to score the go-ahead run.
2. PITCHING PERFECTION: The UW pitching duo of Haley Hestekin and Kaitlyn Menz had quite the weekend for UW, featuring two shutouts and only one earned run in 25 innings of play. The two put up a 0.28 ERA for the weekend and combined to strike out 24 batters while only walking nine. Overall, the Badgers earned 17 runs to IU's three.
3. KK FOR PRESIDENT: Junior Kayla Konwent started UW's series against the Hoosiers with a leadoff homer and never looked back. Because she's such a big threat in the box, IU walked Konwent seven times on the weekend, including a intentional walk. Konwent finished the weekend with a .625 average after going 3-for-3 on Sunday with two extra-base hits. She led the Badgers with five hits and four runs scored, and had a .800 on-base percentage.

MaKenna Partain and Amber Fiser lead Minnesota offensively and defensively, respectively. Partain has a .378 average with 51 hits, 21 extra-base hits and 46 runs while Fiser holds a 1.37 ERA, has pitched five shutouts and has 222 strikeouts on the season.
SCOUTING PURDUE: The Boilermakers are 30-20 overall and tied for eighth in the Big Ten after starting the conference season 6-11. They have one B1G series win over Penn State. Jenny Bahan is Purdue's top player as she leads her team in most statistical categories, including runs (44), hits (55), home runs (12) and RBI (36).
