This match the Badgers will honor their alumni as well as host a kids day. The first 250 children (12 and under) will receive a free Bucky Badger bath towel while face painting will be available in the south concourse.
Â
1. We pick WICK:Â Evan Wick is looking to have a big night on Friday against Penn State. No. 4 Wick will face Penn State's No. 1 Vincenzo Joseph. The pair has never faced off before in their collegiate careers, so it is set to be a good match. Wick is coming off of a two-pin weekend against opponents from Indiana and Purdue.
2. Redemption weekend: Last year, in head coach Chris Bono's first year at Wisconsin, the Badgers lost to Penn State with a final score of 24-13. Now, with a fresh lineup including transfers No. 1 Seth Gross and No. 22 Johnny Sebastian, and true freshman Eric Barnett, the Badgers will look for the upset on Friday.
3. Bonus points were big: The Badgers came alive with bonus points last weekend against Indiana and Purdue. Evan Wick scored two pins, Seth Gross and Jared Krattiger each got a fall, and Johnny Sebastian got a technical fall against Indiana. With hosting two Big Ten teams this weekend, the Badgers will need as many bonus points as they can get.
4. Timely Taylor: A redshirt senior out of Missouri, Taylor Watkins notched his first dual victory against Indiana last weekend. Watkins came out strong on Friday night against the Hoosier's Nick Willham, outscoring him 6-1. Watkins is slated to wrestle against No. 16 Shakur Rasheed from Penn State on Friday.
5. Home at last! Wisconsin wraps up its dual schedule on their home mat in the UW Field House. No. 2 Penn State and Michigan State are coming to town this weekend. The regular season caps off with duals against No. 17 Michigan on Feb. 16 and No. 16 UNI on Feb. 20. The 2010 Big Ten Championships will be March 7-8 in Piscataway, New Jersey, at Rutgers University.
