MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin men's basketball begins regular-season action tonight when the Badgers host St. Francis Brooklyn at 7 p.m. CT at the Kohl Center. The game will be streamed live on B1G+.
Last Time Out: UW beat in-state foe UW-Whitewater in its lone exhibition match of the season, 76-50. Steven Crowl (18), Brad Davison (11), and Tyler Wahl (10) led the Badgers offensively in the victory.
Â
Starting on the Right Note at the Kohl Center: Wisconsin is on a five-game winning streak in season-opening matches. The Badgers look to notch a sixth consecutive win to begin the year at home. UW holds a 328-60 (84.5%) record at the Kohl Center.
The First Meeting: The two programs will meet on the court for the first time ever. The Terriers finished the 2020-21 season 7th in the NEC with a 9-10 record.
Â
Chris Knows Chris: After the Badgers victory over the Warhawks, coach Greg Gard said that graduate transfer Chris Vogt knows what he is good at. In the exhibition win, he picked up five rebounds and four blocks in only 12 minutes of action on the court.
Â
Perfect Against NEC Schools: Wisconsin is 2-0 when facing opponents from the Northeast Conference. UW bested Central Connecticut State, 80-54, back in 1991Â and LIU Brooklyn, 73-68Â during the 1978 season.
