MADISON, Wis. – Winners of five straight, No. 22 Wisconsin begins Big Ten play Wednesday with a battle against Indiana at the Kohl Center. Tip is set for 6 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network, and can be heard on 1310 WIBA.

Before the Badgers begin conference play, here is the Starting Five.

I-94 Rivalry Renewed – In the 128th meeting between Wisconsin and Marquette, the Badgers came out on top with an 89-76 win this past Saturday. Johnny Davis scored a game-high 25 points and added five rebounds. Brad Davison (20 pts), Chucky Hepburn (15 pts), and Steven Crowl (15 pts) also scored in double figures for UW. After shooting 35.3% from the floor in the first half, it seemed like the Badgers couldn't miss in the second frame shooting 19-for-27 (70.4%) over the final 20 minutes of the game.

Big Game Brad – Davison led Wisconsin with 27 points on the road last Wednesday in a 70-66 win at Georgia Tech. He followed up with another 20 point performance (4-for-8 from 3FG) in UW's win against Marquette last Saturday. Honored as the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week, Davison averaged 23.5 points per game, shooting 52.9 percent from the field and 53.6 percent from beyond the arc. The senior ranks second on the team averaging 15.9 points per game this season and now sits at 1,490 career points. He is also two 3-pointers away from tying D'Mitrik Trice (244, 3-Point FGM) for second all-time on UW's career list.

Big Ten Season is Here – Entering Big Ten play, Wisconsin currently sits as one of five teams in the league with one loss or less. The Badgers have finished .500 or better in league play each of the last three seasons, including 2019 when they clinched a share of the Big Ten regular season title.

Hoosiers Come to Town – Indiana comes to Madison with a 7-1 (1-0) record early on this season, including wins against St. John's (76-74) and Nebraska (68-55). Indiana is led by Trayce Jackson-Davis who is averaging 21.0 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Jackson-Davis also leads the conference with 3.8 blocks per game. The Hoosiers are one of the better defensive teams in the conference, leading the league with 31.9 defensive rebounds per game and holding opponents to 35.3% shooting this season.

Kohl Center Magic – Wednesday's game will be the 174th meeting between the Badgers and Hoosiers with IU leading the all-time series, 97-77. However, for matchups in Madison, UW holds a 45-40 advantage, including 18-straight at home where Indiana has only beaten Wisconsin once since the Kohl Center was built. UW's 18-game home-game winning streak against IU marks the program's second-longest against a conference foe just behind a 20-game home winning streak over Penn State. The Badgers have beaten the Hoosiers 22 times over the last 25 games and look to continue strong play with a victory over IU this week.
