The Badgers head to Champaign to take on Illinois in first match of Big Ten Season
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's tennis team will travel Tuesday to Champaign to compete in its first dual match of the season against Illinois. The match will begin at 3 p.m. with doubles play.
1. A Momentous Start: Wisconsin had a victorious start at the Badger Invitational (Jan. 28-31). Over the course of the season-opening weekend, the Badgers went 21-5 in singles play and 7-5 in doubles. Sophomore Gabriel Huber was named Big Ten Player of the Week after going unbeaten in singles and doubles over the opening weekend.
2. Hitting the Road: Wisconsin will travel for the first time this season, marking the first of nine matches away from Madison for the Badgers.
3. B1G Layout: The Badgers will compete in 17 dual matches in the Big Ten Conference season and will host eight of them at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Fans can find the updated schedule here.
