Badgers back home to host pair of Big Ten foes

Wisconsin set to take on Penn State and No. 12 Ohio State

MADISON, Wis. – Coming off a win in its last match, the Wisconsin men's tennis team returns to Nielsen Tennis Stadium this weekend to host Penn State at 3 p.m. Friday and No. 12 Ohio State at noon Sunday.

Maintaining Momentum: The Badgers (2-6, 2-5 Big Ten) earned their second conference win last weekend after beating Nebraska 5-2. Gabriel Huber went unbeaten at No. 1 singles on the weekend, which included his 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 victory over No. 39 Kareem Allaf of Iowa. Huber and Tim Dzhurinskiy also led in doubles with their 6-3 win against the Huskers' Victor Moreno Lozano and Brandon Perez at the No. 1 position.

Scouting Penn State: The Nittany Lions currently hold a 3-4 record overall and in the Big Ten after splitting their matches in Michigan last weekend. On Friday, Penn State fell 6-1 to No. 13 Michigan but concluded their weekend with a 5-2 win over Michigan State on Sunday.

Scouting Ohio State: The Buckeyes currently hold a 9-2 record overall and a 6-1 record in the Big Ten. Last weekend, they faced their first conference loss in a 4-3 setback to Michigan.The Buckeyes currently have four nationally-ranked singles players and three ranked doubles teams.

Up Next: Following this weekend's matches, the Badgers will stay at Nielsen Tennis Stadium to host another pair of conference foes. Wisconsin will host Indiana on Friday, March 26 followed by Purdue on Sunday, March 28.
