Wisconsin back at Nielsen for pair of Big Ten matches

Badgers host Rugters and Maryland this weekend

MADISON, Wis.-- The Wisconsin women's tennis team is scheduled to host another pair of Big Ten opponents this weekend, beginning Friday with Rugters followed by Maryland on Sunday. Friday's match will begin at 3 p.m. CT at Nielsen Tennis Stadium, while Sunday's match is set for an 11 a.m. start.

Wisconsin review: Wisconsin sits 2-3 in conference play and 3-4 overall after last weekend's road matches, which included a win against Illinois. Nastasya Semenovski sits at 2-1 in singles play and 3-2 in doubles play this season. Xinyu Cai looks to build on her momentum after defeating No. 57 Julie Bryne of Northwestern last weekend in a 6-4, 6-3 final.

Scouting Rutgers: Wisconsin and Rutgers will face off for the fifth time in program history on Friday, as the Scarlet Knights enter with an 0-4 record this season. The Badgers currently lead the all-time series, 3-1.

Scouting Maryland: The Terps also enter the weekend with an 0-4 record after coming up short in their matches against Penn State and No.8 Ohio State last weekend. Sunday will also mark the fifth time that the Terps and the Badgers face off, with Wisconsin leading the all-time series, 3-1.
