MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin men's track and field team sends three athletes to Eugene, Oregon, for the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Wednesday through Saturday. All events take place at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Here are three events to watch on this weekend.
1. LIGHTNING LO IN THE 100: Sophomore L.O. Johnson qualified for his first NCAA Championship, competing in the 100 meters on Wednesday at 8:16 p.m. CT. Johnson ran a personal best of 10.22 seconds in the 100 meters at the NCAA West Preliminary on May 29, finishing sixth in his heat but ninth overall to qualify for his first national meet. His time moves him up to third on the UW all-time performance list.
2. HASSAN AT NATIONALS AGAIN: Freshman Abdullahi Hassan qualifies for his second-straight NCAA championships after earning second-team All-America honors at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Championships in the 800 meters. The Toronto native placed sixth in his heat and eighth overall at the NCAA West Preliminary on May 29 in 1:47.90, running a collegiate best time. The semifinals of the 800 meters will be held on Wednesday at 8:44 p.m. CT.
3. HACKER WRAPS UP CAREER: Senior Olin Hacker wraps up his career by competing in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Championships. The final of the event will be run on Friday at 8:55 p.m. Hacker qualified for his first national championship in an individual event, finishing second in his heat of the 5,000 meters and second overall at the NCAA West Preliminary on May 29 in 13:51.87
