Reigning Big Ten champs begin cross country season with top-rankings
Badgers rank third in Great Lakes Regional and 14th NationallyÂ

With a full fall schedule in store, there are high hopes for the Badger squad.Â
ÂLast season, the Badgers claimed their 51st Big Ten Conference title and finished 18th at the NCAA championships.Â
ÂSophomore Rowen Ellenberg led the team at the Big Ten meet with his third-place finish, earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors. Wisconsin returns its top-six runners from Big Tens, including first-team All-Big Ten honorees Jackson Sharp and Charlie Wheeler, and second-team honoree Bob Liking.Â
ÂUW also returns its top-five NCAA finishers, including senior Seth Hirsch, who led the Badgers at the championship. Graduate student Ollin Hacker and senior Shuaib Aljabaly also return with Big Ten and NCAA experience.Â
