MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin men's track and field team continues its indoor season, traveling to two different meets this weekend.
Most of the team heads to Iowa City, Iowa, for the Larry Wieczorek Invitational on Friday-Saturday. Events begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Iowa Recreation Building. The Badgers compete Baylor, Drake, Northern Iowa, Purdue and host Iowa.
The Badgers send their throwers to the Illini Invitational on Saturday where they will compete against Illinois State, Illinois-Chicago, Northern Illinois, Chicago State and host Illinois. Events begin at 10 a.m.
Here are five events to watch this weekend.
1. EYE OF THE THROWER: Redshirt junior Chloe Lindeman is competing in the weight throw along with Olivia Roberts and Chikere Oduocha. Lindeman is coming off a win, throwing a personal best of 68 feet, 10 inches last weekend, making it the fourth-best throw in program history. Roberts and Oduocha also threw personal bests last weekend. Redshirt senior Josie Schaefer will be competing in the shot put after placing second in the event last weekend. Â

2. WATCH THE MIDDLE DISTANCES: The mile is a loaded field for the Badgers with eight athletes entered, including six runners with times under 4:50. Junior Victoria Heiligenthal and senior Madison Mooney lead the UW field while Lucinda Crouch, Peyton Sippy, Emma Watcke, Danielle Orie and Shea Ruhly all under 4:50.Â
Mooney will also be making her season debut in the 800 meters. She currently holds the fourth-fastest 800 time in Wisconsin's history in 2:05.79. Other entries include Heiligenthal, Sippy and Bianca Stubler.
3. WATCH THAT BAR: Senior Hailey Orlowski leads the Badger competitors in the pole vault, along with five other athletes. Orlowski still holds the sixth highest clearance in the program's history at 13-1 1/2. Senior Tia Dorshorst and Lauren Bilau will be joined by newcomers CP Breit, Kenzi Kluge and Julia Moore.Â

FAST DASH: Sophomore Kiley Robbins will be competing in the 60-meter dash on Saturday after placing second last weekend. Robbins' fastest time this season, 7.35, places her at second in this season's Big Ten performance list. She also holds the school indoor record in the event with a time of 7.31. Sophomore Taylor Gilling makes her sprint debut this weekend in the 60 meters and 200 meters.
5. HURDLE PERFECTION: Junior Destiny Huven is looking to continue her perfect season in the 60-meter hurdles this weekend. She currently holds the third-fastest time in the Big Ten at 8.37. Joining her from the Badgers are pentathletes Jordan Hirsbrunner and Mackenzie Heyroth as well as Kaylah McCall.
