Sophomore Maggie Munson helped the Badgers to a top-five finish placing 32nd, running the course in 21:42.2. Mya Bunke and Madison Mooney covered the course in 21:54.8 and 22:02.3, respectively.
Straight from the Course:
Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Mick Byrne:
"You see 13 teams ahead of you, but you see the teams behind you that you beat from the different regions. I think when the dust settles from today that we will see that we did get some points out of today. I think that's always the objective when you put together a field like this. We had incredible teams out there, and we had some opportunities to beat other teams from other regions. You could get stuck on that raw number, but I'm proud of what our women did out on the course today."
Shea Ruhly:
"Our game plan going out there today was to run for Sarah and make sure whenever we were running together or passing another girl on the course, we were doing it together and remembering that we all have a purpose, especially out there, especially today when we are all running for mental health awareness. We ran with a purpose regardless of the result out there, and we can use it as a good stepping stone to keep going into the championship season."
Up Next:
