EVANSTON, Ill. – Wisconsin men's soccer hits the road this Sunday to take on the Northwestern Wildcats for its penultimate Big Ten game of the 2022 season.

1. LOOKING BACK:Â Wisconsin and Northwestern have faced each other a total of 50 times, with the Badgers leading by a record of 30-13-7. UW is 0-2-1 over the last three meetings, however, last winning on Oct. 24, 2018, when the team won in a 2-1 overtime thriller in Evanston.Â
2. PLAYERS TO WATCH:Â Inaki Iribarren brings a sense of composure to Wisconsin's midfield, with one of his best traits being his simple yet effective passes to breakthrough defensive lines. The senior has two goals and four assists on the season, notching his fourth assist against Indiana on Tuesday.
 Defender Ethan Dudley tops the statistics for the Wildcats. The graduate transfer has three goals and two assists on the season, while also starting every game so far and playing the most minutes for the team.
3. RECAPPING THE WEEK:Â The Badgers took on No. 18 Indiana on Tuesday night at home in a closely fought battle. The tight contest unfortunately resulted in the Badgers falling 2-1, but there were many positive takeaways. In the past two weeks Wisconsin owns a tie at No. 7 Maryland and a one-goal defeat to nationally-ranked Indiana.

4. SECOND-TO-LAST BIG TEN GAME: The conference game against Northwestern is the second to last one on the Badgers' Big Ten regular season schedule. The team's final game of the season is on Sunday, Oct. 30 against Ohio State. A victory over Northwestern would clinch a spot in the Big Ten tournament for Wisconsin.
