Straight from the field:
Head Coach Yvette Healy:
"I think they have a very good offense and Maddie (Schwartz) was just doing a great job containing. They put up a lot of hits, a lot of runs, but Maddie was just so composed on the mound. I think she threw a really mature game for us which was fun. Even going into the second game she gave us everything she had. They were a little more aggressive than we were so I think when you face great teams in Big Ten you have to keep making adjustments and now we have a chance to go for the series win."
Senior outfielder Ally Miklesh
On having fans back in the stands:
"It was so exciting, refreshing honestly. There was a different type of energy in the stands today, it definitely brought a little glow to my heart."
On the offensive success iin game one:
"Maddie pitched phenomenally in the first game and the fact that she pitched ten innings is insane. We just need the energy on both offense and defense and we have it. We definitely have a better game in us."
