SARASOTA, Fla. -- On the final day of racing at the renowned Nathan Benderson Park, the Wisconsin women's rowers found an extra bit of speed under the blazing Sarasota sun.
Each boat put forth a fight to make the most of a full spring racing weekend, coming away with new challenges and goals for the rest of the season.
"The varsity eight made huge strides today, and the second varsity four and novice eights had another strong day," head coach
Bebe Bryans said.
With just one more competition before the 2022 Big Ten Championships on May 15, the Badgers are ready to step into high gear to qualify for their 14th consecutive NCAA regatta.
"Many of our boats were able to take what they learned from yesterday's races and make substantial changes," Bryans said. "That is exactly what we need now - every day is worth 10."
