Legros selected to All-B1G Second Team

Second golfer in as many years to earn league honors
The honor adds to a chain of recent success for the Badgers after the team finished third at the Big Ten Championships this past weekend in Galloway, New Jersey, recording the program's highest team finish at the conference tournament in 27 seasons dating back to the 1995-1996 season, where they placed 2nd (1187).

Notably, Legros' honor also makes it back-to-back seasons for a Wisconsin golfer earning a Big Ten honor, joining former Badger Griffin Barela who was named a unanimous selection for the All-Big Ten First Team in 2022, and three of the last five seasons including Jordan Hahn in 2019 (First Team). The awards are determined by a vote of the conference coaches at the Big Ten Championships.
Legros is one of only two Badgers to earn second team honors, joining former Badger Dan Woltman who earned consecutive All-Big Ten second-team honors in both 2008 and 2009. Woltman is also the last Badger to earn any Big Ten honors prior to Hahn in 2019. A full list of all Big Ten honorees for Wisconsin can be found below.
A transfer from Lander, Legros was a leader for the Badgers all season and the team's top finisher in three tournaments. Legros tied for second at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate at 4-under 206 to also set new career lows across the board with 18 holes (66), 36 holes (135) and 54 holes (206). He led the team with a 71.08 average during the regular season (3-under) and is currently holding a 71.14 average (1-under) after the Big Ten Championships. He is tied with teammate Cameron Huss for 28 rounds played (26 counted), but leads the team with 1,992 for the lowest stroke count.
The Big Ten also announced UW teammate Huss as Wisconsin's Sportsmanship Award honoree. Huss was Wisconsin's top finisher at last week's Big Ten Championship and finished second only to Legros with a 71.46 average during the regular season.
