
Vanessa Ho named to WGCA All-America Scholars Team

Women's golfer earns national academic honor for second consecutive year
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin women's golfer Vanessa Ho has been named to the 2022-23 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars Team. This is her second year earning the national honor.
Ho, a sophomore from San Diego, California, was among 1,401 student-athletes selected for the prestigious honor. The criteria for inclusion is among the most stringent in all of collegiate athletics, including a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and playing in at least 50 percent of the team's regularly-scheduled competitive rounds.
A psychology major, Ho is a UW Athletic Board Scholar representing the person with the highest grade-point average in her sport. Boasting a 3.726 grade-point average this school year, she also earned awards this spring for Academic All-Big Ten, Big Ten Distinguished Scholars and College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District.
Ho has played in all 21 tournaments in her career as a Badger in the team's starting lineup and currently holds Wisconsin's lowest career season average with 74.02 on the active team. She was the Badgers leading finisher in four tournaments and also set career low records for 18 holes at 69 and tied her career low 54-hole record at 217.
