LOUDON, Tenn. -- After three rounds of play at Tennessee National, Wisconsin men's golf finished the Visit Knoxville Collegiate in seventh place.
The Badgers finished 16-over at their second tournament of the season, totaling a 291-288-277=856.
Cameron Huss garnered top honors for the Badgers, completing the Collegiate at three-under par to tie for 11th. Huss matched his career-low 18-hole score in the third round and shot his lowest 54-hole score since the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate in October of 2021.Â
Sunday, September 10
Round 3
The Badgers finished the Collegiate with their best round yet, carding a 277 (-3) to move up two spots to seventh place.Â
Huss came firing in the final round, shooting a five-under 65 with six birdies to tie his career-low 18-hole score. The senior from Kenosha, Wisconsin last shot a 65 at the Boilermaker Invitational on April 15, 2023.Â
Blake Wisdom and
Jacob Beckman each made par in the final round, with Beckman improving his score by eight strokes between rounds.Â
Spencer Turtz carded a two-over 72, while
Coalter Smith finished the round with a three-over 73. Individual competitor
McCord Grice wrapped up the Collegiate shooting a seven-over 77.Â
Saturday, September 9
Round 2
Wisconsin improved their second round score by three strokes, carding a 288 (+8) to tie for ninth with South Florida and Cincinnati.Â
Huss shot a one-over 71 with two birdies to lead the Badgers, while Smith carded a two-over 72 with three birdies, bringing his birdie total to six. Turtz improved his score by 10 strokes to also shoot a two-over 72.Â
Wisdom carded a three-over 73 and Beckman rounded out the lineup with an eight-over 78. Competing individually, Grice shot a seven-over 77.
Friday, September 8
Round 1
The Badgers started the Visit Knoxville Collegiate by shooting a 291 (+11) to tie for ninth with South Florida.
Smith led Wisconsin, making par in the first round with three birdies. Huss followed, shooting a one-over 71. Beckman and Wisdom each carded a five-over 75, while Turtz shot a 12-over 82.Â
Competing individually, Grice tallied a seven-over 77 with three birdies.Â
